Terms of Service
Last updated: 29 September 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Fork and Floor (“we”, “us”), “You” means the business that creates a Business Account, or the person who creates an Individual Account. By creating an account or using Fork & Floor, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
1. The service
Fork & Floor is an online tool for designing restaurant floorplans, counting covers, and tracking tables during service. It’s currently in early access, so features may change, be added or be removed as we develop it.
2. Your account and team
There are two kinds of account. A Business Account is for a business and its team. An Individual Account is for one person and has no team features.
- The person who creates a Business Account must be authorised to accept these terms for the business. They become its owner. There’s one owner at a time. The owner can hand the role to someone else on the team, and then takes the role that can do the most (such as Manager).
- In a Business Account, the owner sets up roles (such as Manager, Staff or roles of their own) and decides what each may do. The owner, and people whose role allows it, can add team members, change their roles and the sites they work at, and remove them, but nobody can remove the owner. Only the owner can set up roles or delete the account. You’re responsible for who you add, and for what your team does in your account.
- One login can be in several accounts: your own, businesses you create, and businesses that invite you, once you accept. You can leave a business you’ve joined at any time, unless you’re its owner.
- An Individual Account is for its owner only. Don’t share its sign-in with others. You can switch it to a Business Account at any time, and you’ll be the business’s owner. You can’t switch a Business Account back to an Individual Account.
- Keep passwords secret and use strong ones. Tell us promptly at support@forkandfloor.co.uk if you think an account has been misused.
- Give accurate details, and keep them up to date.
3. Acceptable use
Don’t use Fork & Floor to:
- break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
- try to access another business’s data, or get round security, sign-in limits or spam protection;
- create accounts automatically or in bulk;
- overload, disrupt or damage the service;
- upload anything malicious or unlawful.
4. Your content
Your floorplans and other content belong to you. You give us permission to store, process and display them only as needed to run Fork & Floor for you and your team. We don’t claim ownership of your content.
5. Price
Fork & Floor is free during early access. If we introduce paid plans, we’ll tell account owners in advance, and you won’t be charged unless you choose a paid plan.
6. Availability and your copies
We work to keep Fork & Floor running and your data safe, but we provide it “as is” and can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. Keep your own copies of important plans using Export (PDF, image, SVG or plan file).
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of Fork & Floor. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Floorplan checks such as clearances and covers counts are planning aids. They don’t replace fire safety, accessibility or other legal requirements for your premises.
8. Ending your account
The account’s owner can delete it at any time. For a Business Account, the owner uses Business & team → Delete business. For an Individual Account, use Account → Delete account. This immediately and permanently deletes the account, any team accounts, all its floorplans and their version history. It can’t be undone.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Where reasonable, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to export your plans.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Fork & Floor develops. We’ll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell account owners before they take effect. If you keep using Fork & Floor after that, the new terms apply.
10. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and its courts handle any disputes.
